General English classes provide a structured programme involving grammar and the functional use of English, all aligned to the Common European Framework. Classes cover all four aspects of language - reading, writing, speaking and listening. Emphasis is placed on communicative English. The use of technology is incorporated into the learning environment to enhance interactivity and class engagement.
14 - 17 years (12-13 by arrangement)
Our junior school aims:
- to upgrade students' English to enable them to communicate effectively and to introduce them to the specialist vocabulary of different high school subjects
- to provide a safe and smooth transition between students' former schooling and the New Zealand Education system
- to encourage students to socialise with others so they are confident in making new friends when they enter high school.
